    Factors and scope

    Each input is multiplied by a published conversion factor and summed. Home energy uses DESNZ 2024 figures; a renewable electricity tariff is counted at the grid factor for honesty, because REGO certificates do not change the physical grid mix you draw from.

    Driving uses an average per-mile factor by fuel type. Flights use round-trip estimates including the warming effect at altitude. This covers the emissions a household controls most directly. It does not attempt a full consumption footprint (the things you buy), which needs a different method.
